What tools are people using to build their landing pages?
MicroFounder, Eduardo, +16 others

I am a domain buying addict .. by now I have 45 domains :joy: and I had the same question - what tools do people use to build landing pages…

there are quite a few modern day tools out there
webflow, carrd, unbounce etc…

.. but that would not be fun :stuck_out_tongue: so I set out to build a landing page builder. sneak peak here -
David
my first observation is that it said ‘loading’ for a second before rendering over the next second or two - is that fast enough for a landing page?
Vishal
Thanks for flagging
its work in progress - no where ready to launch at the moment
Vishal
that loading (checking for login state) can be done lazyily - thanks for feedback. Improvements coming soon :rocket:
David
interestingly it seems to perform better in chrome than firefox, where i first loaded it
David
perhaps something warmed up server side between requests
MicroFounder
Maybe I’m such a control freak but I want to do everything myself. I want to write html and css and start with a clean browser page.

But I do see how some tools can make the process faster! somehow comes to my mind (btw made by a solo founder, $13k/mo)
Eduardo
I use Odoo. It has everything.

yep.so is cool
MicroFounder
Yep.so looks cool, I love how you can start filling in these placeholders (features, email signup, call-to-action). Seems like a super quick and easy way to build landing pages.
MicroFounder
yep.so looks great :ok_hand:
David
Looking great is one thing but I’m wondering if people have views on support for SEO features etc
MicroFounder
A thought: it might be interesting to have a curated tools section on where people can mark what they used and if they recommend or not based on _actual experience_.
David
Agreed, that would be very useful!
MicroFounder
Great idea, ! I’ll prepare something soon

mentioned Yep.so which looked cool, thanks! I just interviewed the founder:

The quote that resonated for me:

“Now I realise that even if I build a perfect app, if I can’t distribute it, I’ll fail. So I always think about distribution first.”
