I've been a blogger since I was 16 y/o and built a few SEO properties with 100k/mo pageviews. For all my previous products, I had to setup a blog and spend a lot of time optimizing the theme, performance, conversion factors, on-page SEO, technical SEO, and server.

And one day I realized that not everyone can (or is willing to) do the above things. So, I decided a build my learnings as a SaaS product where users will focus on writing content and Superblog will handle the rest.

First, I setup a landing page and started to build in public to get people's feedback. People started following me to get updates about Superblog. After I launched the product, a few audiences became customers.

Word-of-Mouth referrals, Build in public, SEO.

Build something that you would want for yourself. And if that same thing is also wanted by others then you have a revenue-potential product. That way, you will have a clear vision of the product and at the same time you will know that people are ready to pay for it.

Do not jump into building the product because you can. Do a proper market survey, at least get _some_ interest for your product before you start building. Another thing that I think is very important is - "Never stay in the feature-building mode for too long." Build new features as you go along while talking to your customers (paid customers). For example, I did not even launch "Comments" feature for Superblog initially. I shipped it only after a paid client asked for it.
