There must be quite a lot of work behind this (syncing with calendars etc). My first thought: how do you compete with big names like Calendly? But then again, why do you need to – you only need to capture a small group to be a microfounder.
Ricky
Oh yeah it’s a TON of work. I compete with Calendly by being small and scrappy, and offering things that Calendly overlooks or doesn’t do well.

This is brilliant Ricky. What’s been your customer acquisition strategy?

What channels have you been experimenting with and which channels are working?
Ricky
Twitter is huge for me. The majority of users find me on here.

Also I had a product hunt launch last month that brought traffic and users.
Farzan
I’ve always been curious about winning customers via Twitter.

How do you go about it? Do you have a strategy or approach?

Also are there any resources you recommend to learn more about strategies for acquiring customers via Twitter?
Ricky
I wouldn’t say I have a specific strategy, it’s all been very organic and natural. I don’t really look to make a sale or get a signup, as much as I look to build a relationship.

I’ve even referred people to competitors when they were a better fit. It’s about helping people, IMO.
Farzan
Makes sense, just like growing your Twitter audience. You engage with people and build relationships.

Thanks for the insights.

Nice 👌🏻 will try it instead calendly. How much time did it take to build?
Ricky
Hey! I had the first MVP up and running in 3 weeks. That was back in March. Been building up on it ever since.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
