I'm seeing more and more privacy-focused web analytics startups being built lately. With all this BigTech looking at every move we make on the web, people are starting to think about their privacy more than ever.
Analytics startups are currently #4 category on MicroFounder, making $70K MRR (7% of all revenue).
In addition to privacy, many people realize that Google Analytics is too complicated and there is so much that you don't use – you just want to see some important metrics and that's all.
And when we add the fact that Google Analytics is shutting down their current version in July 2023 and forcing everyone to start with a blank database using Google Analytics' next version, I think many more people will consider switching their analytics products.
Because when you have to start again, then why not look for alternatives?

Sometimes the first customers are the hardest to find. When you don't have a process in place, you're still learning, etc. How did you find your first customers?

He found us on Product Hunt if I remember correctly. We first launched in beta and then did a full launch later on.
